Elevate Debate
Elevate Debate is a non-profit organization that teaches students the importance of advocacy through 3 competitive high school debate formats. Debate’s barrier to entry is incredibly high – coaches, camps, and consistent financial support to attend tournaments across the country. We aim to combat resource inequities in the activity by offering free of cost lectures, notes from competitive debate camps, feedback and sample cases, and help starting your own school’s debate team, all from TOC-level instructors.
Why Do Debate?
Debate brings together learning, travel, and connection in a way few activities can. It gives students the chance to explore an enormous range of ideas, think quickly, and grow more confident in how they express themselves. Beyond the accolades and benefits on college applications, it's about late-night prep sessions with teammates, friends from all over the country, unforgettable tournament weekends, and the excitement of discovering new ideas, ranging from complex theories of the world to the best solutions for income inequality. It’s a space where education feels alive—and where curiosity turns into a community of students across the country who are as like-minded and driven as eachother.
